Joan of River’s End gallery provides the downtown Waukesha  lineup of Christmas celebrations, including the Art Crawl, Christmas parade and holiday tree lighting.

Volunteers for Waukesha Christmas wreaths

A group of volunteers spent part of Sunday cleaning and redesigning the city’s Christmas wreaths that are hung on downtown lamp poles during the holiday season.

The decorations were looking a little shabby from years of exposure to weather.

During two hours of work, the group was able to clean and replace bulbs in more than 100 of the 240 wreaths and will try to complete the task this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 431 W. Main St.

They need additional volunteers, especially strong folks who can cut metal rods.
