About Darryl Enriquez
I was with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for more than 25 years, serving as a reporter and editor. In the later part of my JS career, I had the privilege of reporting on Waukesha city and county news, including politics, people, taxes, the environment and the pursuit of Lake Michigan water. I also wrote a well-read blog called Waukesha FYI. While doing that, I managed to raise two children, coach some football, watch the world go by on Arcadian Ave. as I sat on my front porch and become friends with some amazing Waukesha-area residents. In an effort to keep readers informed, the blog has matured into a news site that’s no longer affiliated with JS. My vision is to satiate the appetite of Waukesha-area residents for informative and dependable hometown coverage. I will adhere to the sound journalist principals of accuracy and fairness, and I won’t forget to add healthy doses of sensitivity and humor. Your voice is important. I hope to often receive comments and opinions. Think of it as spending some time on the front porch with me.
