Madison St. fire investigated as arson

The fire that heavily damaged a former farmhouse  at 3609 Madison St. is being investigated as an arson, city Fire Inspector Brian Charlesworth.

It appears the blaze was intentionally set, he said.

As for the earlier fire at 3211 Mary Ann Drive, the cause was determined to be careless handling of flammable materials.
